Memorial Day Events



Here is a list of Upper Valley Memorial Day Celebrations taking place this weekend. Please remember to thank and honor all our men and woman who serve our country!

Saturday May 29th
  • Woodstock, VT - Parade will begin at town green at 10:30 am. From 1:30 to 4 p.m., there will be a Civil War Reenactment in Woodstock taking place behind Woodstock History Center (26 Elm St.) put on by the Woodstock Historical Socitey. (Donations accepted.) Sunday May 30th
  • Norwich, VT - Begins at noon at the Lymon F. Pell American Legion Post on Beaver Meadow Road and end at the town green at noon. They will also have refreshments and music by the University Chorus of the Upper Valley. (Free events). For more info: 802-296-3123
Monday May 31st
  • Tunbridge, VT - Starting at 9 am there is a bake, book and plant sale is being held at the Library and Parsonage lawn. A Memorial Day Service will be held at the Town Hall at 11 am. Chicken BBQ (cost $5-9/person) will be held at the Tunbridge Fairgrounds following a dedication ceremony at the town cemetery at 11:40. Reservations requested for the BBQ.   • Enfield, NH - The parade starts at 10 am at Huse Park and ends at Veterans Memorial Park on Rte 4. An U.S. Army Blackhawk Helicopter will land at the field at Huse Park and be on display at 11:20 am.
  • Piermont, NH - The parade begins at 11:00 am and ends at the Old Church Building where a display of the Piermont Farm Project will be open featuring former and current Piermont area sheep and dairy farming operations. A barbeque sponsored by the Peirmont Village School will also be held on the school grounds near the Old Church Building.
  • Lebanon, NH - Memorial Day Commemoration in Lebanon 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Soldiers Memorial Building, North Park Street. Coffee and donuts provided by the Odd Fellows, Mascoma Lodge #20. Free. 603-448-2280.
  • Claremont, NH - Parade at 10 am at Claremont Middle School, ends with ceremonies at Broad Street Park.
  • Charlestown, NH - Parade at Middle School at 10 am, ending at town Monuments for Services.
  • North Charlestown, NH - Parade at Farwell School at 8 am on to Hope Cemetery for services.
  • Walpole, NH - Parade at 11 am from Union Street to the Common. Ceremony to follow.
  • Bellows Falls, NH - Program at 10 am at Hetty Green Park. Speakers followed by parade.
  • Bradford, VT- Parade starts at 9:30 at Merchants Bank and goes North on Route 5 - ending at cemetery for a ceremony
